The Purrfect Gift for Animal Lovers!

I’ve never talked about a product before, or endorsed one.  Well, I have penned book reviews (this dog loves to read!) and I suppose those could be considered endorsements, but this is new for me.

Mama got her paws on a cool gizmo and I can’t stop barking about it.  The Neato XV-21 robotic vacuum might be the greatest invention since poop bags for humans who love animals!  The Neato is the cutest little robot that can suck up dirt and fur and allergens like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

Having a Neato is almost like having another pet in house.  It’s cute and small and moves around.  It makes adorable little noises (a little song chimes before he gets going).  And the best part about a Neato pet is it cleans up after the other animals!  With it’s special filter and anti-allergen attachments, the Neato inhales all the fur and dander your pet leaves behind.

I learned this week that animal lover and advocate, Ellen, has been promoting the Neato during her 12 Days of Christmas shows.  You can see the Neato in action on The Ellen Show in this video (around 4:30 minutes).  Isn’t it darling?

Timmy E's not intimidated byt the Neato -- he's intrigued!

Like me, Timmy E & Wilbur don’t dig the noise of the big vacuum cleaner.  As soon as it comes out, the boys “hide” on the bed until the monster has been put away.  The Neato is pretty quiet compared to a regular vacuum and the boys are intrigued instead of intimidated.

When the Neato comes on, it revs up like a quiet jet.  And it’s so smart!  The neat Neato maps out the room with it’s laser eye and works it’s way around furniture and other obstacles.  Mama especially loves the small size of the Neato — it cleans under the couch and chairs (where fur and dust like to congregate).

The Neato robotic vacuum is a truly Pawsome invention!

Isn't the Neato cute?

You can buy Neato through Amazon, but ChaChaBee has an ever better deal right now (only $299 — 30% savings!).    If you don’t know what to give the pet lover on your gift list, this furry angel highly recommends the Neato!

Disclaimer:  I’m not a paid spokes-dog (yet!) and get no commission from Neato sales — I just really dig this product!

  1. Several years ago we bought a family member the iRobot Roomba, which sounds like an earlier version of the Neato. Fun little product! Even though I don’t currently have animal fur floating around, I could probably benefit by getting the dust bunnies from under the furniture. I hope these products come down in price in the next several years–this sounds like a winner!

    Hugs to you, Atticus!

We’re loving the Neato, Judy! It’s technology is far superior to the Roomba. Special filters and dust/fur collector is easy to clean and it’s programable. We’ve programmed it to clean the house a few times a week. & when the little cutie gets “tired”, he makes his way back to the docking station to recharge. Brilliant!! And I don’t think $299 is high (sale price). You don’t want to know what I paid for the Dyson!!

Oooh I love a dog who understand machines. The Neato sounds fabulous, especially for pet lovers. When I had my dog Goldie living with me that dog hair was in constant fights with the vacuum – we had a Dyson too! and Goldie would growl and bark at the vacuum and escape. The programable par sounds fab – getting the house done without doing it…. brilliant.

You’ve got that right, Jen — the Neat is Brilliant! As far as technology goes, the Neato has changed our lives almost as much as the iPhone. Was Goldie a golden retriever? They shed so much! As you probably know, Timmy E and I are “hair” dogs, not fur (only 7 breeds of hair dogs), so we don’t shed much. But the kitty and Wilbur drop their fur everywhere!! Thank Dog for the Neato :)

  5. I want one! But since we heavily invested in a Dyson I guess I shall have to wait. What about stairs though I wonder……

we have a Dyson too Louise (pricey, yes!!), but we’re turning to the Neato more & more. it’s a smart piece of technology, but doubt it can climb stairs! :)

  7. Ah, so you’re an Ellen fan too! I saw this on her show and thought “How could such a small thing do a good job? And where’s the bag? Where does all the “stuff” gather?” It’s great to get a personal endorsement from a dog in the know! What the heck is a Dyson? I guess I’m just not up on vacuum technology!

You are full of questions, Susan! Gotta love an inquisitive human :) On the Neato, part of the top pops off, revealing a surprisingly sizable dust bin and filters. We usually empty it after every cleaning. But if you forget, the smart little vac tells you it’s time to empty the dust bin.
& a Dyson is a top of the line traditional vacuum cleaner. It does a great job, but it’s really loud (and very expensive). It’s good for once a week deep cleaning.

  9. I love our roomba cleaner!! We have two and they’re cleaning our house at least twice a day, unbelievable how much dust they collect. I looked at the neato and it seams it’s pretty similar to the roomba cleaner. Hubby is smart and got ours under price at overstock.com for $90 each…we even equipped my family in Germany with them and they are all in love!
I love product reviews, paid or unpaid, when they’re from friends, they gotta be good :)
Hugs to you and happy new year to you and your furry family :)

Hey Atti – Your Mama mentioned this when we met up last month :)
Since we now have 4 kitties in the house, I’m tempted by one of your Neato little friends. It will soon be spring and ‘shedding’ season, Cory alone sheds as much hair as a dog!
A quick look round google just now, and there are some deals out there – Walmart has it for $290!
    Thanks for the recommendation :)
    Maggie

  11. Atticus says:

With all those kitties, you certainly need the Neato, Maggie! I promise you will not be disappointed. We love it’s programable feature — we simply set days of the week and times we want the house vacuumed, and the Neato automatically does his thing. Very easy! and you forget to empty the dust bin, he reminds you to do. Easy & efficient!
